Since 1968 SHW-SHS, at that time still SHW Verfahrenstechnik (process engineering), has produced the first discharge systems for bulk materials that are difficult to handle at its long-standing Wasseralfingen site. The production sites were expanded and enlarged continuously over the years. But at some point the available existing space capacity was no longer sufficient and the decision was made to build a new site in Huettlingen.

The ground-breaking ceremony was on 11th May 2011 and the relocation was complete by 9th January 2012 so that the office work and production could start. Today the SHW-SHS site is divided in an administrative building with about 1,000 m2 of useful area and a production hall of 3,000 m2.

The office and the production hall are both heated and cooled by water/water heat pumps of a floor heating system.

A 170 kWp photovoltaic installation on the roof of the production hall supplies the power required to maintain the building and for the production process. The daylight-dependent light regulation and the individual illumination of the work places enable optimal light conditions with minimal power consumption.
A solar filling station supplies the power for the company’s own fleet of cars which are to be gradually changed to electric vehicles.

You will also find our own company day-care facility for children with an outdoor playing area on our premises.

Car parking and a road transport infrastructure for smooth logistics as well as a test area and outdoor areas for a future expansion complete the premises.
